UPDATED MESSAGE FROM THE SECRETARY
We have been instructed by the FAI that we must now adhere to rule 112 and that all yellow cards must be noted and a fine imposed for each one. Clubs are also asked to supply an email address of a responsible person within the club so that notification can be sent to this email address regarding fines owed and any suspension incurred regarding this rule. Please send the email address to conlonmartin@eircom.net.
RULE 112. CAUTION (YELLOW CARD)
1. A caution (yellow card) is a warning from the referee to a player during a match to sanction offences as identified by Law 12 of the Laws of the Game. A caution shall result in a fine and one point recorded against the player. A caution in any game must be reported to the League concerned and a record must be kept by that league. No caution may be appealed.
2. Two cautions received during the same match incur an expulsion and, consequently, an automatic suspension. The two cautions that incurred the red card are rescinded. The following are the fines that will be imposed for yellow cards: first yellow - €5 fine; second yellow - €5 fine; third yellow - €10 fine; fourth yellow will incur an automatic suspension and a fine.
Clubs will be informed every two weeks as to the amount of fines that they owe for yellow cards.
Player Registration forms
Any club that has not already returned their player registration form must do so by this weekend as failure to do so will result in fines being imposed at the next management committee meeting for playing unregistered players. from Martin Conlon

TEAM ORGANISATION
Check this out for yourselves
I am dropping you a short not to introduce a new online web service thatutilizes sms/texting and e-mail to help ease the headaches of organisingyour football teams. We hope it will be a valuable tool over the coming season.
Teamer will save team organisers and money, by automating game/event notifications, sending to both mobile phone and email, and collating all responses in a single team page. And here's the best bit, Teamer doesn'tcost anything to use, and that includes FREE sms/texting to all team members, no catch !
We'd be delighted if you took the opportunity to check out this innovative approach to football team management. We are sure it will make life a whole lot easier for team captains/managers in your club.
If you get a chance, have a look around the site, maybe set up one of your teams, and see how much time it will save you chasing player availability every week.
To sign up just follow the link http://www.teamer.net

Churchvilla Football Club
The Future's bright...
For the up coming 2008 season the future of Churchvilla Football Club is looking extremely bright.
The senior team has a squad of over 30 players, with a good mixture of experience and new, younger players. Kevin Eaton has stepped into the management team and is encouraged by performances in pre season matches, "At this time of year with GAA commitments and holidays we generally struggle to get the full squad together for training sessions or pre season friendlies, but this season has seen a change in the attitudes of a lot of the players. As a group of players we have decided to take a greater responsibility, not just on the playing side, but also in the development of the club. There seems to be a lot more interest locally regarding the club and we hope this support will continue throughout the season for all the Churchvilla teams."
As well as a strong senior squad the juvenile section has gone from strength to strength, with Under 12 & Under 13 teams registered in the Cork Schoolboys League, with additional teams from Under 7's upwards-taking part in the summer leagues. Laura Cashman, Manager Under 13's has high hopes for her squad for the season ahead, "Both under 12's & under 13's have been put through their paces over the summer and we expect to see the lads perform as well as we know they can whilst still enjoying their football.
There is training held on most nights and all children are free to attend.
Monday 7pm - Friendly senior match, for any adults who just want to have a bit of fun
