Coachford AOH semi draw Apr 93 R158

No goals but plenty of attempts as Coachford and Bosco's played out a scoreless draw, after extra time, in their AOH semi-final at Turner's Cross. Kieran O'Hanlon played Kenny O'Brien in for the Saints but his shot hit the bar. And later, Martin Donnelly cleared a shot by Coachford's Johnny Moynihan off the line. Replay fixed for May 8th.

Passage strolled into the final with a 4-0 win over underdogs Shandon Celtic who enjoyed their outing at The Cross. Indeed Celtic were about to celebrate a goal in 27th minute but the back-pedalling Passage keeper Thomas Farrell managed to touch Edwin Martin's effort away from goal.

By then Passage were well on their way. In the 7th minute, Paul Coughlan sent Bryan Hennessy in for the opener. In the 21st minute, Thomas Hanlon was brought down in the box and Coughlan converted the penalty. Just before the break, Paul Cronin forced in number three and sub Brendan Murphy rounded it off with a terrific late finish.
