AUL Results:
Thursday 9th May.

Premier: Macroom 2 Killumney United 4.

AUL 1: Fairview v Lakewood Ath (off); Ballinhassig 5 Knockraha 2.

AUL 2: Waterloo 3 Macroom 0; Strand Utd 4 Killowen 1.

AUL 2A: Churchvilla 2 Dunbar Celtic 3; Shandon Celtic 0 Hibernians 0.

AUL 3A: St John Boscos v Glen Celtic (off).

Some significant results tonight which have been responsible for the destiny of some teams in their league campaigns for this season.

In the Premier league, it looks like Macroom put up a gallant fight when they went down 2-4 to Killumney at home but, alas, it was not to be and they - along with Castleview are the two to be relegated from this section.

In AUL 2, Waterloo strengthened their position at the helm with another solid performance that saw them run out 3-0 winners at home to Macroom.
Strand's 4-1 win over Killowen puts them right back into the hunt for promotion and puts the pressure now on second place Donoughmore as they face into the weekend with an away fixture against leaders Waterloo on Saturday.

AUL 2A: What about the result here tonight between Shandon Celtic and Hibernians that ended 0-0 and with Dunbar winning 3-2 away to Churchvilla, it means they are back at the helm while Hibs drop back to second spot.
So, With both sides playing 16 games, Dunbar have 43 points while Hibs have 42.
Plenty of excitement to look forward to yet in this one.

Meant to mention it on Tuesday night but, Afton Villa became champions of league 3 after their 3-1 win away to Innishvilla.

More terrific action to follow for the coming weekend... Watch this space.
