League 2A: Millstreet Cel 2 Crescent Ath 1; Springfield “A” 5 Inter City Cel 0.
League 3: Dunbar Cel 2 Afton Villa 1; Leeside 2 St John Boscos 0.

Here is a brief report as a result of tonight’s games.

Premier A: (For your information).
Most people by now will know that Macroom are deserving champions of Premier A, but the runner’s up spot will be decided in a play-off between Kanturk and Ballyvolane after Ballyvolane won their objection against Castleview which yielded them two extra points on to their tally as a result. This left them with 32 points after 18 games – the same as Kanturk.

League 1:
Killumney trailed Leeside 0-1 with three minutes to go but made a dramatic recovery when they ran out 2-1 winners in an extraordinary finish at Crossbarry.
Douglas Hall won their game 2-0 at home. These results have made Douglas Hall and Killumney look very strong contenders now for the title.
But, there is still a lot of football yet – enough to prevent one from making any kind of predictions yet.

League 2A:
Springfield A are now the pace-setters after taken over top spot with a 5-0 win tonight at home to Inter City Celtic.
Let’s all wish Eoin Sheehy a speedy recovery after suffering a serious injury in that game.
Millstreet were made work extra hard for their 2-1 home win over Crescent.
But, who would you now put your money on. Here is the table with two games to go after tonight’s results.
1. Springfield A 43 Pts
2. Waterloo 42 Pts
3. Millstreet 41 Pts
As if that was not enough – they must all play each other yet.

League 3:
Dunbar Celtic are not half piling the pressure on leaders Brooklodge with another 2-1 victory over Afton Villa tonight.
Leeside kept in touch with a 2-0 home win over neighbours Boscos.
Here is an up-to-date now on this section.
1. Brooklodge Pts 41 1 game left
2. Dunbar Pts 36 3 games left
3. Leeside Pts 33 3 games left
Brooklodge must play Dunbar on the 16th May…… Plenty of excitement yet in this section.

See ye later
