U21 INTERNATIONAL: IRELAND V GERMANY
Turner's Cross - Feb 10th - Kick off 7.30pm.

It is 1991 and Cork City are playing the mighty Bayern Munich in a EUFA Cup tie in Musgrave Park.

One of the Germans, a famous international and voted into the all time greatest Bayern eleven by 60,000 fans in 2005, wonders why they have to play these old men and is quoted as saying that one of the Cork players was like his father (his grandfather, according to some).

Question: Who was that German and who was the Cork player he singled out as an older relation? That Cork player got his own back by scoring during the game.

The winner of the 1st quiz (after a draw, quite a lot of you got it right) was Mark Neville of Los Zarcos. The correct answer was Thomas Hitzlsperger ( http://www.thomas-hitzlsperger.de/ )who was playing for Aston Villa at the time and Mark's prize is two tickets to the Ireland v Germany U21 international at Turner’s Cross on February 10th, kick off 7.30pm. We have the same prize for this one – answer by email only and don’t forget to include your postal address. Closing date is midnight Feb 3rd.
