From Cork AUL's Billy Lyons


Twenty-five ago, Cobh Wanderers (pic, from the Billy Lyons collection, is from NOV 81) started off in the Cork AUL and celebrate their anniversary on 26th of August next by opening their new grounds at Old Church Park with a game against local national league team Cobh Ramblers.

To mark the anniversary, Tim Stack has produced a history of the club. It is packed with photos and tells the story of the club.

But the most remarkable aspect of the book is the set of statistics: Wanderers have a record of every player that togged out for them and the number of goals each has scored. Is there any other non-league club that can match it? I doubt it. Well done, Tim.
