Macroom FC Family Fun Day / Crumlin Cup 2011


Macroom Soccer Club are holding their annual Family Fun Day this weekend, on Sunday the 7th of August at 2.30pm in Murray Field, Macroom. The fun day this year also encompasses the annual Ashton O'Mahony Crumlin Cup, run by the clubs own Brendan O'Mahony, who every year raises vital funds for the Children's Hospital, Crumlin. On the day, there will be the Crumlin Cup tournament being run off in two locations, the Town Park and Murray Field. The final of that event will be held in Murray Field, during the Family Fun Day. Twelve junior teams from MSL and the AUL will compete for the first prize of an adult kit for their side and the Crumlin Cup also being presented. The runners up receive a €200 voucher.

During the Fun Day, there will be medals presented at 3.45pm, along with player of the year and top scorers for schoolboy sides. There is plenty of entertainment for all the family on the day, with Bouncy Castles, Face Painting, Food Stalls and Fun Games on the day. It promises to be a celebration of last season, with all players from Academy up to Junior level in attendance. Please come along and enjoy a great day out. Everyone is very welcome and support is appreciated for the celebration of the season, and the fundraising tournament.
