Review of tonight’s Results:
Well – there was certainly some interesting results across the board in tonight’s results and I have always maintained that midweek games can determine the outcome in many ways as to who is going to get promoted and relegated at the end of the day.
Let’s begin with AUL 1.
Carrigtwohill did the business at home tonight with a solid 3-1 win over Glen Celtic and what really makes this win so important from their point of view is Springfield’s 1-1 draw away to Buttevant. Springfield’s Management will not be happy at all with that result – especially when they have so many games in hand.
Fairview rested some key players tonight in preparation for the St. Michael’s Cup Final next Tuesday night at the Cross and still managed a 3-1 win over Knockraha – a good morale boosting result ahead of the big night.
Leeside held on to third spot with a 2-1 home win over Park United B.
But, Carrigtwohill are looking very much like the in-form team at the minute…….

AUL 1A: What about Glenvale’s fantastic result again tonight – 3-1 home win over red-hot favourites Kilreen Celtic and with Douglas Hall’s 4-2 victory away to Passage, the whole race for the title is blown wide open once again.
Here’s the situation now after tonight’s results with 20 games to be played:
1. Kilreen P16 points=40
2. Glenvale P18 points=37
3. D. Hall P15 points=35

AUL 2: After tonight’s 3-0 victory over Casement Celtic, there is only one horse to back here – that is Innishvilla to win the title.
Hibs are keeping in touch alright with a 5-1 win away to Wilton but, with 4 games to go, I cannot see Innishvilla slipping up.
Here is the situation after tonight’s results with 18 games to be played
1. Innishvilla P14 points=39
2. Hibs P14 points=33

AUL 2A: Crescent jumped into second spot here after running out 2-0 winners at home to Leeview tonight and it certainly looks now like a two horse race between Crescent and Millstreet. Here is the situation now after tonight’s results with 18 games to be played.
1. Millstreet P14 points=34
2. Crescent P14 points=33

AUL 2B: Although Watergrasshill are still in a strong position at the helm, Cathedral Celtic boosted their challenge on the title after a terrific 3-1 victory over a Brooklodge United side that have slipped recently.
Corkbeg also gave themselves an outside chance with a 1-0 away win over Churchvilla.
Here is the situation now after tonight’s results with 20 games to be played.
1. Watergrasshill P17 points=38
2. Cathedral Cel P16 points=32
3. Corkbeg P16 points=31

So, plenty to chew on as we look forward to lots of action and excitement over the coming weekend. Will be back next Monday with a preview on Tuesday’s fixtures.

Cheers,
Barry.
