CORK CITY SPORTS AND RECREATION FORUM

Cork City Local Sports Partnership was established in 2007. The Partnership, recognised by the Irish Sports Council, consists of a Board made up of representatives of agencies and sports representatives and a Sports Recreation Forum, which is the consultative body to the Board and will be represented on same. Cork City Council is the lead agency in the process.

The aim of Cork City Local Sports Partnership is to encourage increased participation in sport. One of the main objectives in 2008 will be to develop a strategic plan for development of sport within the City.

The Forum is a broad representative group of those involved in the delivery of sport within the City. Sports and club representatives of all sporting codes are invited to a meeting of the Forum, details below, Agenda attached.
